It's all a conspiracy

The idea that 9/11 was an inside job isn't a new one. Since the occurrence, many "intellectuals" or so called “academics” associated with Universities, NGO's (Non Government Organizations) or “think-tanks” have jumped on the band wagon of the conspiracy theorists that the U.S. Government planned and executed the 9/11 attacks in order to further a “Imperialistic Governmental Order”. Again, not a new concept, as imperialism and the struggle against oppression has been a staple of American culture, since our country was founded on escape of tyranny and the blood of those who fought against such oppression.

I would not dare to call myself an academic nor would I call myself a conspiracy theorists, but the recent movement of Universities hosting seemingly profound authors such as David Ray Griffin pang to the 1960's. My thousand mile view of these authors like Falk, Chomsky and Griffin are they are aging hippies and activists who are very intelligent but only know how to be an activist. The cause isn't very important as long as the agenda of “Anti-Government” is achieved. The ends are less important than the means. The journey is hopefully better than arriving, right?

A Government conspiracy is also nothing new – my God, what's more American than being Anti-Government? What Griffin is promoting in his new book, “New Pearl Harbor – Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11” promotes the idea that specifically the Bush Administration planned and executed 9/11 to promote American Imperialism – which to me (and yes I'll state it right here) is pure hogwash and promotes nothing except activism and furthering Griffin's own agenda, which is “NWO” (New World Order) or a World Government in which we're all equal, everyone makes the same, does the same, has the same. While the wet dream of the Chomsky's and Griffin's, the Star Trek reality won't happen in my or my grand children's lifetime if ever. The Bush group couldn't even get around the WMD's in Iraq, how can anyone seriously believe the Bush White House is intelligent enough to pull off something like 9/11??

Griffin's writings are to preach to that portion of the American public who are grappling with living in the real world – a world where you live, reproduce, provide for your family, help others, worship (if you believe in such a thing) and leave the world a better place. Griffin would have you believe that his activism and thoughts are doing just that – to make the world a better place. What I believe it does is create angst, cause hatred and brain-wash a guilt riddled public that already cannot handle they have what the rest of the world wants – Freedom and Prosperity.

A very good reading point is located at the following URL reference where Mr. Griffin responds and is responded to regarding his writings and associations.

Griffin thoughts do a bunch of things:
They identify you can be anti-government while still being patriotic
They address the American guilt of having everything and apologizing for it
They promote anti-Bush AND anti-Government in one agenda
They further the “NWO” agenda of a world wide Socialist Democracy
Centering religious leaders and “moral standards” in the “NWO”

What I always find interesting is the concept that “Truth” is sought. On my short time on earth I've found that “Truth” is never an absolute, nor is it a concept that can be identified. In the political arena, “Truth” varies by degrees and is identified by the agenda being pushed or by the PAC's or lobbyist's who have the money. Griffin's concept of pursuing truth must be held in the context of his agenda.

While my opinion is the Chomsky's and Griffins are needed in a free society, their ability to mold insipid idealists into their way of thinking only promotes the next generation of activists. Let's face it, the hippies are getting old and will soon be passing on with the rest of the baby boomer generation – who will take up the cause in the 21st century?

My other thoughts aren't surrounding the finer points of Griffin's outline of how the Government covered up 9/11 because their agenda is American Imperialism – in fact I find that rather absurd. As another intellectual named Stephen Hawking in “The Universe in a Nut Shell” identified the Government's past history of keeping a cover up secret is less than sterling. J.F.K., Area 51, UFO conspiracies (you know, that little spacemen are actually in cahoots with the U.S. Government and have actually taken the form of humans to help their dying race reproduce... that sort of thing) are just fanatics with a very active imagination. What I find rather frightening in general is that a proportion of American's just cannot handle their guilt that they have so much and others have so little so they vie to topple the entire system. They say they search for “Truth” which is the biggest red herring ever but a good propaganda technique (it's been used for thousands of years). That young Americans don't know their own history, their heritage, the good, bad and ugly so to speak without having someone's agenda in that history being shoved down their throat, puts people like Griffin in a seat of authority. History IS being rewritten – (See author Dick Morris “Rewriting History”) where maybe Appamattox Courthouse didn't actually happen. The Civil war was made up and a ruse to get the South to give up their independence and to control the agriculture industry in the 19th century South. You didn't know that huh? Well, by the time my kids have kids, that's what history MAY say, which is a frightening thing; frankly something I'd rather not be alive to see.

A subject for another blog: How the overwhelming amount of information from biased media, and biased groups are affecting our reality. We're fighting ourselves. No matter what your belief system, a media outlet exists for your thinking, which causes none of us to think at all. We're all drinking our own kool-aide, and everyone has their own flavor. Young people also are a concern; they're more educated without knowing more. A college graduate can probably tell you the last Jay-Z CD title and the technology behind it but doesn't know their own history or the Capital of New York or California. The lack of basic knowledge is astounding. (I digress...) We're being forced to pick a side and yet are in conflict with those sides internally. Griffin for example allies himself with the religious right by saying 3,000+ innocent people were killed by the hand of our own government who has the overwhelming support of the religious right, and a president who is and has been re-elected, arguably, on the “religion” ticket. (You know all that hubbub about the red states versus the blue states).

Here's the only truth's: In this America I know, a few things occur without exception:

1. Money talks
2. Taxes are inevitable like the sun rising
3. I can call anyone a moron without being jailed, tortured or killed by my government
4. The Constitution of the United States prevents idiots from ruling or destroying this country (Thank you Founding Fathers!! You were SO wise!)

I don't trust the Government, I don't trust activists, nor do I trust the media; I trust myself.
